We have mature and extensive gardens which allow for peaceful and private camping.   There are 16 powered sites and 30 unpowered sites.  There are two areas that allow for private, peaceful and often garden screened camping, while there is a more “sociable” area for people who want company.  Be sure to ask for a private site if you want to enjoy the peaceful ambience and amazing birdsong.

The facilities block is well equipped with unmetred showers, toilets, laundry and kitchen, complete with electric and gas hotplates, oven, microwave, chiller, crockery and cutlery.

There is a patio with free gas barbeque, gazebo and large, shaded entertainment deck with cafe style seating and spectacular views of the river, inlet and the Hongi Hika Heritage Pa site, opposite.

There are bikes, boats and kayaks for hire.

We have our own jetty and several swimming holes.
