The Boathouse
The Boathouse from $135 - 160 per night
The Boathouse is perfect for a romantic weekend. It has been converted into spectacular yet affordable accommodation, with heaps of character and two large rooms. There is a comfortable sitting room with kitchenette complete with bench top oven, hot plates, sink and tea/coffee making facilities. There are two single beds. The boating decor, complete with antique boating accessories, painted waves & clouds, high ceiling, Stable doors and Cedar finishes creates a unique ambience!
The next door, partitioned bedroom is lined with sweet smelling Japanese Cedar and has charming decor including model boats, bronze propeller, old travel trunks and rustic wall mounted textile. The Queen bed has a spectacular and high level view straight down the river through the shell of the old Slipway. Enjoy the ducks in the water below or dancing fantails and the occasional swinging possum in the rafters of the old slipway, just outside the large viewing window.
Please note that the ramp to access the Boat House, and to commute to the Central Facilities Block, is quite steep (with hand rail and anti-slip treads), so not recommended for the older persons or very young.
There are two private decks with table and chairs, one with garden views and the other with river and garden views.
Rate is for two persons. There is a charge of $20 per extra person per night. Maximum 4 persons total.
